The Most Spiritual Weekend!

So I am really not trying to rain on our truck's parade, but I have just had a spiritual weekend and I wanted to share something that I found on youtube while looking for the EFY Song. We were able to go to the temple yesterday afternoon with our ward and it was such a Spiritual experience! It always is, but it seems like I came out with more than ever before! Then Tom and I got to spend the evening together! I finally learned how to drive the truck! I think I am doing pretty well. Then we went to church today! It was our ward conference and was so great! Every meeting was great! Tom's back was really bothering him and so I almost mentioned that maybe we should go home, so he could rest it! Boy, I'm glad I didn't open my big mouth! We would have stayed for the sacrament, but missed the rest of the meeting! Our Bishop and Stake President spoke and it was pretty powerful! We got to go to Tom's family's for dinner and after that Tom's mom and I sat and played hymns on the piano and organ. I love the hymns! Then we found all these fun videos of Spiritual songs online and I was just bawling my eyes out! It was such a great weekend I don't want it to end! Below is one of my favorite videos! Have tissue ready!

Funniest thing EVER!

So the funniest thing ever is me trying to drive our new truck! First of all it's a stick! I could get someone to the hospital if they were bleeding to death in a stick, but I might kill it a few times along the way! I am not very good at it! Starting is the hardest for me! Once I'm in a gear, going into the next gear is not really an issue! Tom took me to the church parking lot and we spent about a half hour learning to drive! This was about all I could take, cause my leg was shaking so bad I couldn't even hold the clutch down! I found muscles I didn't even know I had! I am totally out of shape anyway, but by this time next week, y'all better watch out cause I am gonna have the buffest left leg in Salt Lake County! I am gonna have one fat leg and one super skinny, super buff leg! I am gonna be the funniest looking person!

Our New Truck!

We bought a new truck today! Well, it's new to us! It's a 1996, Ford, F-350, longbed, crewcab, 5-speed manual transmision, big block 460, with 35 inch dune tires! We are stoked! We got a pretty good deal on it and we feel really good about it! It is in the shop cause it had some issues with the driver's door mechanism, so we don't have pics tonight, but check back tomorrow! We love our new truck and are excited to finally have a truck that we can actually haul stuff with!

The Best Two Years With The Love Of My Life!

So January 6th was our 2 year anniversary! Neither one of us can believe it's been 2 whole years, but we also can't imagine our lives without each other! (Nor do we want to try!) These two years have been filled with happiness and joy, sadness and trials, but always there is love! We are so grateful that the Lord put us in each other's paths and we chose to follow what we knew was right! We love each other more today than the day we got married, which we didn't think was actually possible! We have grown to be a team through everything! We look forward to the many adventures that this life brings to us, but are so grateful for the gospel and for the sealing power! We feel so blessed to know that if we are faithful and endure to the end we can be together forever!
For our anniversary this year we went to Wendover, NV! I know many of you are thinking what in the world is there to do in Wendover? Well, you would be right! There isn't a whole lot! We still had a blast though cause we were together! We went to eat a lot, went to some of the little shops, went swimming, and yes even dropped a few pennies! Don't worry! We didn't go over our $10 limit! We got a really great price on a super nice suite! The selling point was a jacuzzi tub that fit 4 right in our room! It was big and nice and we got in at least 2-3 times a day! We could just watch movies and relax! The relaxing was much needed after the last few months we've had! Well, I'm gonna post a few pictures, quite a few actually so sorry! But I am kinda using this blog as a online journal, so here goes!

We were so excited to get there that we left a day early! We're glad we did! This is us on our way!
This was our room! Our big comfy bed, our nice TV, and of course the tub!
We had to make sure the bed was comfy, and don't worry, it was!
Now that we had found the room with no real problems we had to get all our stuff to it!
We then decided to explore! We found lots of casino, and not a lot else, but what did we expect?Ya can't visit Wendover without visiting Wendover Will!
We found a bunch of restaurants and our favorite pasttime is eating, so that was perfect! (By the way we really are working on that! Maybe next year you'll see the skinny Tom and Natalie!)
Then we went back and went to bed. The next morning we got up and went swimming in the indoor pool in the hotel which was clear on the other side! Yea, kinda sucked! If you think I am letting you see those pictures though you're crazy, sorry! On to dinner!
For those of you who get queesy easily don't look now! There might be kissing pictures, but what's an anniversary without any kissing!
We went to see Marley and Me at the tiny little theater there! I cried during most of the movie, and Tom even cried at the end! Very good movie, but very hard to watch! This morning we came home, took a short nap and started some laundry and went to Body World's at the Leonardo! It was neat to see! Similar to what we saw in Vegas on our honeymoon! We had an AWESOME anniversary and aren't quite ready to get back to the real world! We loved spending time together! We never got sick of each other! Tom is playing X Box now and I am writing this post, but we are in the same room and still talking and laughing! I think we made good decisions on marrying each other!

Here's a look back at our first anniversary! We stayed at Little America and had a blast then too!
